چکیده

Computer network is the essential part of the networking. Multicasting is used to send the information from one to group of receivers. It is a big issue because of more data demand of receivers is known as congestion. In this paper we are going to develop a single rate approach which provides congestion control. In this approach two congestion techniques are considered i.e. TFMCC (TCP Friendly Multicast Congestion control Technique). It has the problem of Feedback implosion. This problem was solved by AIMD (Additive Increase Multiple Decrease) approach. In this approach feedback is taken by the receiver which has more RTT (Round Trip Time). It is the slowest receiver approach. The number of packet loss is more and it does not

Single Rate Multicast Congestion Control Protocols : A Performance Comparison

Multicast Congestion Control (MCC) at the transport layer is a very difficult problem that has been the target of the research community for nearly the last ten years. There exist two broad categories of Multicast Congestion Control (MCC) solutions, Single-Rate and Multi-Rate. For the single Rate solutions, the source multicasts data packets according to the rate of the slowest receiver, wherea...

Smooth Multirate Multicast Congestion Control

A significant impediment to deployment of multicast services is the daunting technical complexity of developing, testing and validating congestion control protocols fit for wide-area deployment. Protocols such as pgmcc and TFMCC have recently made considerable progress on the single rate case, i.e. where one dynamic reception rate is maintained for all receivers in the session. However, these p...

TFMCC versus ASMP: lessons learned from performance evaluation

In this article we present a simulation-based comparison of one of the best-known multicast congestion control schemes—TCP-friendly Multicast Congestion Control (TFMCC)—against our proposed Adaptive Smooth Multicast Protocol (ASMP). ASMP consists of a single-rate multicast congestion control mechanism which takes advantage of the RTCP Sender (SR) and Receiver Reports (RR) in order to adjust the...

Congestion control for IP multicast on the Internet has been one of the main issues that challenge a rapid deployment of IP multicast. In this article, we survey and discuss the most important congestion control schemes for multicast video applications on the Internet. We start with a discussion of the different elements of a multicast congestion control architecture. A congestion control schem...

Development of Energy Efficient and Reliable Congestion Control Protocol for Multicasting in Mobile Adhoc Networks compare with AODV Based on Receivers

Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) allow portable mobile devices to establish communication path without having any central infrastructure. Since there is no central infrastructure and the mobile devices are moving randomly, they may give rise to various kinds of problems, such as energy efficient and multicast congestion control. In this paper the problem of multicast congestion control is consid...
